Duties
- Supervises and manages student Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders to solve problems, check program progress, and evaluate performance of SI Leaders.
- Hires and trains SI Leaders; responsible for placement in specific sections and creation of master SI schedule; creates and facilitates various training sessions throughout semester.
- Represents and promotes SI to the campus community, including meeting regularly with faculty and departments to discuss current and potential partnerships.
- Promotes CSL by speaking to classes, orientation sessions, student organizations, and faculty/staff about SI and other CSL services.
- Meets 1:1 with students in need of academic support to create an academic plan including time management, test preparation, and course content management.
- Compiles statistical data for SI program reports including attendance, grade, and GPA comparisons; supervises collection and compilation of term surveys.
- Assesses student needs with standardized test prep for a variety of standardized tests; evaluates student progress.
