Speaking Lab
The Speaking Lab, staffed by peer consultants, assists students from any course or discipline with oral presentations for courses or conferences. Although consultants will not write a presentation, they are trained to provide assistance with all aspects of the development of oral presentations, including topic selections, organization, use of presentation software, communication apprehension, and delivery.
Students can request a consultant through the online system, at the CSL front desk, or over the phone and then contact the consultant to make an appointment. This process can take up to 72 hours so it's important to plan ahead. In addition, the Speaking Lab offers some walk-in hours each week for guidance, questions, organization tips, and more. Check the schedule below for this semester's walk-in hours.
